Principal & Director OF Marketing & Outreach
For more than a decade, Lisa has been leading teams through the process of organizing and translating intangible ideas into actionable plans and compelling collateral. She understands both the drive and the constraints under which most for-purpose companies operate and enjoys helping organizations move from stagnation to real momentum in their outreach and advocacy efforts. In addition to communications strategy and project management, Lisa’s strengths include writing, publication design, information architecture, and website design. Formally trained as an advertising copywriter, she has been able to combine her passions for both verbal and visual communication.
Before founding Blue Marble, Lisa worked as an in-house designer and marketing manager for a number of companies, tackling diverse challenges such as consumer packaging, online usability, and print publications. Patient and compassionate, she is a natural teacher. Placing a high value on education and lifelong learning, Lisa has also taught graphic design theory and application and continues to write and speak on issues related to communications and practical applications of design thinking.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys exploring new cultures and locales, mountain biking, creative writing, gardening, cooking, and most especially hanging out with her husband and two children.
